Tyrex World
World is the 3D office where your AIs work — open on every plan, free for now. Watch them at their desks, assign the board, walk in, and talk to them where they stand.
World is the office your AIs actually work in. Every persona you own becomes a worker with a desk, a schedule, and a visible state — so "what is my AI doing?" stops being a guess and becomes something you can look at.
World is open on every plan, including FREE — and free for now. It is not a separate product you buy; it is how you watch the ones you already have. The only requirement is that you own at least one AI — with an empty roster there is nobody to put in the office.
Getting in
Open World from the sidebar. Until you own an AI, the item stays locked and tells you why: create an agent first.
Once inside, the office takes over the whole screen. There is no dashboard chrome around it — just the world, a thin HUD on top of it, and a Back to agents exit.
What you are looking at
A voxel office, four floors, with a working lift between them. Your AIs are in there as workers: walking the corridors, sitting at their desks, taking coffee, holding meetings.
The world runs on its own clock. When you first open it, the simulation anchors to your local time — open it at 9am and it is 9am in the office — then it runs accelerated, so a full day passes in well under an hour of real time. That is what makes the place feel alive: morning arrivals, lunch, the evening wind-down, and overnight, when most of the roster has gone home.
Each worker has a desk of their own, kept stable across visits. Workers also carry state you can read at a glance:
- Presence — idle, thinking, working, needs you, done, or error. This is the surface layer, and it is the fastest way to spot someone who is stuck.
- Activity — what they are physically doing right now: working, commuting, eating, chatting, resting, sleeping.
- Needs — energy, hunger, focus, stress, morale, and social. Needs are what drive the simulation: a worker who is running on empty stops working and goes to rest, whether or not you asked.
Watching and following
Click any worker to open their detail: who they are, what they are doing, their needs, and the card on their desk. From there you can follow them — the camera trails them through the office — or open the persona behind them and get straight to the chat.
Two display toggles, both switched off by default:
- Names — draw every worker's name above their head, so you can tell who is who from across the floor.
- Cinematic — ease the camera back for a slower, wider view when you just want to watch.
Walking in
Switch into first person and you are in the office yourself. W / A / S / D to walk, E to act on whatever you are standing in front of:
- Talk to a worker — opens the chat dock with that AI, right there
- Sit at a desk, take a seat in the pantry, grab a coffee or water, help yourself to food
- Use the printer, start a meeting, call the lift, pick a floor
- Sit down and use a couch or arcade machine while you wait
Some furniture is a door to the rest of the platform. The scrum board opens the board, the meeting room opens the room, the printer opens your Works, and the corridor displays open Workflows and the Marketplace — so you can fall out of the office and into the thing you were about to do anyway.
The task board
The board is how you give the office direction. Open it from the meeting room (or from the board itself) and you get three columns — Backlog, In progress, Done.
Add a task, write what needs doing, assign it to one of your AIs, and optionally set a deadline. Cards show up on the wall, and the one a worker is currently on shows up on their desk monitor — so the office doubles as a status view for the work you handed out.
Cards get there three ways, and the board shows all three the same:
| Source | Where it came from |
|---|---|
| You | You wrote it yourself |
| Routines | A scheduled job of one of your AIs produced it |
| The AI | The AI wrote or claimed it itself while working (it has a task_board tool for exactly this) |
Above the board, World keeps a running attention summary: how many need you, how many are blocked, how many cards are late, and how much work is sitting unstaffed. It is the one number worth checking when you walk in.
The meeting room
The meeting room runs a standup: everyone present speaks in turn, which is the fastest way to catch up on what the roster has been doing. The room shows who is in it right now, and starting a standup needs at least two people — a meeting of one is just a chat.
Talking to your AI inside World
Every worker can be chatted with in place, from the dock or from first person. It is the same conversation you would have anywhere else in Tyrex — same persona, same memory, same knowledge — with one addition: the AI knows where it is and what it is doing. Ask "why are you at the pantry?" or "what are you working on?" and it answers from the simulation, not from nothing.
What World is not
- Not a game. There is nothing to win and nothing to lose. It is an instrument for seeing your AIs work.
- Not a replacement for chat. World is a view; the work still happens in conversations, routines, and the board.
- Not a separate subscription — yet. It sits on every plan and costs nothing today. World is still growing, so that can change later; if it does, we will say so before it does, not after.
FAQ
Is World free? For now, yes — it is open on every plan including FREE, and there is no separate charge to enter it. That is the current state rather than a permanent promise: World is still being built out, so the pricing may change later. If it does, we will announce it in advance.
Do I need an AI to use World? Yes. The sidebar item stays locked until you own at least one agent — the office is populated by your roster, so an empty roster means an empty office.
Does my AI keep working when I close World? Yes. The office is a window onto simulations and routines that run server-side. Closing the tab does not pause your AIs, and the board keeps moving.
Can my AI write its own tasks? Yes. Your AIs have a task_board tool, so they can read the board, add cards, and claim work — that is why cards can appear under "the AI" as well as under your own name.
Does the office run in real time? No. It starts anchored to your local clock and then runs accelerated, so days pass quickly enough that you can watch a full workday in one sitting.
Is my data visible to anyone else in World? No. Your office is yours — the roster, the board, and the conversations in it are scoped to your account.
