Connect your computer and your coworkers can open apps, read windows, click, and type in Excel, Notes, WhatsApp, or a site you are signed in to. Each app asks for your approval first, and you can pause them with Cmd+Shift+Esc.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and text files on your computer, without uploading them first. Each folder asks before it is read, and writing needs its own approval.
Press Option-Space anywhere, or say “Hey Tyrex”, and speak. Replies are read out loud. Wake word listening runs on your Mac, not on our servers.
Lives in your menu bar or system tray, keeps working when you close the window, and updates itself.
First time opening it
The app is not signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, so your computer asks you to confirm once. After that it opens normally and updates itself.
- Open the downloaded file and drag Tyrex AI into Applications.
- Open Tyrex AI from Applications. If macOS says it can’t be checked, click Done.
- Go to System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to Tyrex AI.
- Sign in with your browser when the app asks.
To let coworkers use your apps, choose Connect this computer from the menu bar icon, then allow Accessibility and Screen Recording when asked. Voice asks for the Microphone and Speech Recognition.
- Run the downloaded setup file.
- If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.
- Tyrex AI opens when the install finishes. Sign in with your browser.
To let coworkers use your apps, choose Connect this computer from the tray icon. Voice input is not available on Windows yet.
