Quick Start
From a free account to your first AI coworker in a few minutes, the fastest path through hiring.
The fastest way to understand Tyrex AI is to hire a coworker. Here's the whole journey, from a free account to a coworker with a job description, usually in a few minutes.
An email address, the job title you want to hire for, and one file the job needs: a FAQ, a document, a syllabus, a spreadsheet. Everything else is handled by the platform.
Step 1: Create your account
Go to ai.tyrex.id and sign up. The free plan is free forever and includes three AI coworkers (called personas in the app), which is everything you need to complete this guide.
After signing up you land in the app dashboard. A single sidebar is your main navigation: New chat, Personas, Artifacts, Workflows, Library, Studio, Customize, and Marketplace (it stays open on desktop and slides in as a drawer from the hamburger on mobile; your account menu at the bottom links to Settings).
Step 2: Pick a job title (KNOW)
Click Create your AI on the chat welcome screen, or open Personas in the sidebar and click New persona, to start the KICKOFF wizard. It walks you through four steps: KNOW → GATHER → SHAPE → READY (shown in the app as KENAL → KUMPUL → BENTUK → READY). Your progress is saved in the URL, so you can refresh or leave and come back without losing your place.
The first step, KNOW, asks "Who are you hiring?":
- Search for a job title, such as accountant, product manager, or nurse, or browse the categories. The catalog is ISCO-08, from the International Labour Organization, with 436 occupations.
- Tyrex sets up a job description from that occupation's standard duties, plus starter skills for the role. Edit anything, or keep it as is.
- Give your coworker a name and pick its model.
When you create it, the coworker opens a short kickoff conversation to ask what it still needs to know about your work. This becomes your coworker's persona.
Step 3: Upload a file (GATHER)
Still inside the wizard, the second step (GATHER) asks if you want to give your coworker data. Upload a file (a PDF, Word document, spreadsheet, CSV, or plain text). Something real: a FAQ sheet, a chapter from a textbook, a product list.
You can also reach the same place later from Data Studio (left rail) or Works → AI Library. Tyrex processes the file in the background: it reads it, chunks it, and builds a private knowledge index. You'll see the file listed as ready when processing finishes. No configuration needed.
Step 4: Finish shaping (SHAPE)
Move to the third step (SHAPE) in the wizard. It shows a summary of your coworker: its role, job description, skills, and the data it can now search. Nothing to configure; this is the review before your coworker goes live.
Step 5: Start chatting (USE)
Click through to READY, then hit the button to open a chat with your new AI (or go to Chat in the left rail and pick it from the persona list). Choose a model:
- RAPTOR — fast everyday model, great for Q&A and routine work.
- CARNO — deeper reasoning, analysis, and research (Pro plan and up).
- REX — the flagship for complex problems (Elite plan).
Try asking something that draws on your uploaded file — e.g. "Summarize the main points from my document" or "Answer the top 3 questions customers ask, in my tone." Because your file is attached to this AI, answers will be grounded in it, with sources.
Step 6: Generate a real file
Ask your AI to produce something tangible: "Turn this into a one-page PDF summary" or "Make a 5-slide PowerPoint." Tyrex generates a real file you can download, preview, and reuse. Generated files land in Works → Generated, next to the chat that produced them.
That's the loop
You just completed KNOW → GATHER → SHAPE → READY. The job title gave your coworker its role and job description, your file gave it knowledge, and the chat is where it all comes together. Next, give it a routine so it keeps working after you log off.
Where to next:
- Make your AI smarter with more files in GATHER.
- Give it recurring jobs with Workflows.
- Build more AIs and manage them in Personas & AI Library.
- Understand the plans and usage metering in Plans & Billing.
